2. Recent Changes and Developments in USPTO Practice (48 slides) Talks by Bob Spar

A. Revised Amendment Format 37 CFR 1.121

Explains the new amendment procedure using strikeouts and underlining with a complete updated set of the claims to be presented in each amendment.

B. Benefit Claims to Prior Applications under 35 U.S.C. §§ 119(e), 120, 121, and 365(c)

Explains the proper language to be used to properly claim a benefit to an earlier prior application.
